How long has HERO been a club?

HERO was formed in 1970 at Morton Plant Hospital. 

How many members are in HERO?

As of December 2019, HERO has over 700 members.

How many events does HERO do each year?

While this number can vary, HERO usually does at least 1 event each month.

How do I learn about new events?

Emails are sent out when each event is opened up to the club. 
You may also check back on the website on the events page.

How do I sign up for the events?

On the BayCare HERO website, there is a page for each event which includes a registration form

Can my friends outside of BayCare join the club?

At this time, HERO is only for BayCare team members, but you can bring them along as guests to the events!
Exception: Cruise events may be open to friends of HERO members. Ask the event coordinator to see if a particular event applies. 

Can children attend events?

​Many events are family friendly; However, children under the age of 18 must have adult supervision for the duration of the event. 

Is there a refund policy?

Yes, each event specifies a date in which you can cancel by and still receive a refund. Any cancellation requests after this date must be handled by the Board. 

How can I cancel my HERO membership?

​Submit your cancellation on the Contact Us page.  A board member will process your request. 

Not getting emails from HERO?

“If you change roles in BayCare or if you email address changes you could be dropped from the HERO distribution list To ensure that you continue to receive HERO emails please be sure to email HERO at [email protected] so we can update our records.”
